Volunteer Nursing in Sri Lanka!!

Hello Friends and Family:)

As many of you know, I recently graduated as a Registered Practical Nurse. It has always been my dream to volunteer overseas, and with the help of the Arm in Arm organization, I have the opportunity to volunteer as a nurse in Sri Lanka. This opportunity will allow me to put my knowledge and skills to use, while gaining international experience as a nurse.

In Sri Lanka, I will be assisting local healthcare professionals in their day-to-day endeavours. This includes, but is not limited to: public health education (such as maternal health, disease prevention, and practicing proper hygiene); immunizations; and head-to-toe assessments. My work will be carried out in various locations such as hospitals, rural communities, schools, and homes for the elderly.

To get the most out of this experience, I would ideally like to be in Sri Lanka for a minimum of 3 weeks. I am responsible for covering the cost of airfare, travel insurance, vaccinations, visas, medical insurance and living expenses. These costs will be approximately $4000.

I have set up this website in the hopes of gaining financial support from my friends and family to enable me to participate in this amazing experience.

Thank you in advance for all your support,

Robyn Stinson :):)
